About

Hi, I’m Vicente Evans. I live just outside the city in a quiet little house with a garden, where I brew my own coffee in the mornings and enjoy a long walk before the world really gets going. My background is rooted in hospitality.

After graduating with a bachelor’s in Hotel & Restaurant Management, I spent several years working in the kitchen and front-of-house of a small boutique restaurant (yes, the one that originally inspired the domain name!).

It taught me more than just plating dishes: I learned what truly matters to someone sitting down at the table, and how thoughtful service can make an ordinary evening feel special.

My Professional Journey

From there I transitioned into the world of hospitality operations, coordinating vendor orders, working with cookware and kitchen equipment suppliers, and helping design comfortable dining spaces that combined function with feel. I remember standing in the back-room storage, keeping an eye on what tools the chefs reached for most, what gadgets got shelved, and which products ended up unused. It sparked my curiosity: why do some tools get used every day while others gather dust? That curiosity turned into a habit of testing products, comparing what works and what doesn’t, especially from the vantage point of someone who has been both the server and the guest.

How This Blog Came to Life

In early 2025 I decided it was time to channel all this hands-on experience into something a little more independent. That’s when I launched this blog — tinerestaurant.com — to focus primarily on honest product reviews, real-world usage insights, and practical buying advice. I wanted to move beyond the flashy advertising claims and bring you the perspective of someone who has used the gear, cleaned it after service rushes, and knows what it’s like when things need to perform under pressure. My aim is simple: help you make smart choices, avoid regrets, and get value from what you buy.

My Approach & What You’ll Find Here

On this site you’ll find in-depth reviews of kitchen appliances, dining accessories, home-living gear, and occasionally tech or outdoor tools — anything I believe is worth investing in. I test things the way I’d want them for my own everyday life. I’ll share what surprised me, what under-performed, and what I found genuinely useful. I’ll tell you when something is great, when it’s just “good enough,” and when it simply doesn’t cut it. I believe in transparency, so you’ll always know whether I purchased something myself or received a sample (and I’ll break down how I tested it).

Why Trust My Reviews

Because I’ve been where many consumers are: juggling work and life, seeking tools and products that won’t let me down, and tired of marketing hype. I’ve cleaned, repaired, replaced, and lived with gear in a busy environment. The habits I developed in the restaurant world — attention to detail, durability under real conditions, keeping usability front of mind — that all carry over into how I evaluate the items I review here. My goal is not to be perfect; my goal is to be useful.

Staying Connected

I hope you’ll see this space as more than just another review site. I’d love to hear how the products work for you, what your pain-points are, and what you’d like me to test next. Feel free to drop a note or comment — I’ll do my best to respond. Thanks for being here, and I’m excited to share this journey with you.

Vicente Evans
I’m Vicente Evans, a former restaurant operations manager who turned his passion for reliable, well-made products into a full-time pursuit. After years spent behind the scenes in hospitality – coordinating suppliers, testing kitchen tools, and seeing firsthand what truly lasts under daily use – I realized how much everyday buyers could benefit from that inside knowledge. I hold a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management and have always believed that good design and durability matter just as much as style.

In 2025, I started tinerestaurant.com to share honest, experience-based reviews that help readers make smarter buying choices. I test every product with the same attention to detail I learned in the kitchen and write as someone who genuinely wants people to get value for their money. These days I live a quieter life outside the city, surrounded by my favorite gadgets, a few too many coffee mugs, and the joy of helping others buy with confidence.
